Finning International Inc. is one of the world’s largest Caterpillar equipment dealers. The Company sells, rents and provides customer support services for Caterpillar equipment and engines in Western Canada, the U.K., and South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay). Finning (UK) Limited
Finning (UK) Ltd. is the national Caterpillar dealer for Britain, serving
England, Scotland and Wales. On October 1, 1997, Finning (UK) acquired H.
Leverton Limited, the former Caterpillar dealer for eastern and northern
England. H. Leverton is being integrated into the Finning (UK) operation,
transforming the combined entity into a strong national Cat dealership in
Britain. In December 2000, Finning (UK) acquired distribution rights for marine
power engines from Sabre Perkins covering England and Wales and acquired the
MaK marine engine distribution business for the UK and Ireland.
Finning Chile S.A.
Finning is the exclusive Caterpillar dealer for Chile, serving the northern,
central and southern regions through a network of 10 branches and a presence in
virtually all of the major mining operations in the country. Finning Chile's
head office is located in Santiago, however the majority of the over 1,400
people employed by Finning work in the northern mining regions.
In addition to a complete infrastructure designed to meet our mining clients'
needs, Finning is actively involved in the areas of heavy and light
construction, forestry, power systems and rental services. 2002 will be a year
of continued expansion in these areas.
Hewden Stuart Plc
Hewden Stuart Plc. is one the largest rental companies in the UK, with 370
branches and 4,300 employees. Hewden, through its General Hire, Tool Hire and
Lifting Hire Divisions, rents a comprehensive range of equipment, including
small and medium construction equipment, as well as managed services at
industrial sites; tool rentals for a number of markets, including the
construction and "do it yourself" markets, and; crane and self-propelled
powered access platforms to a number of industries. Finning International
acquired Hewden in January 2001.
